Good morning TJJ parents,
The past 24 hours have been amazing. We jam packed our schedule and have already done so much. After leaving the airport yesterday we did ice breakers over looking the entire Old city of Jerusalem. We then had a delicious BBQ dinner in the Tayelet overlook Park and headed back to the hotel. Later that night we surprised the NCSYers by taking them blindfolded to the Kotel plaza. About half the group was able to experience the Kotel for the first time. One NCSYer’s immediate reaction to removing her blindfold was ” I have never been happier in my whole life.”
Today, we explored hizkiyahus aqueduct, did a scavenger hunt in the Old City of Jerusalem and went to Machene Yehuda to experience the ancient marketplace.
Tonight we will be at the Kotel to welcome in Shabbat and will then explore the new city of Jerusalem on our way to dinner and back to the hotel. The rest of Shabbat will include some much deserved rest. We look forward to sharing some pictures and updating the blog soon and apologize for the delay- we have had some internet complications which should be ironed out on Sunday.
