Dear NCSY SUMMER TJJ BUS 10 Parents,
Wow! What a day! Your children arrived to Israel this morning and enjoyed a fantastic day. The day was long, busy, and a lot of fun.
After the Toronto flight arrived, we stayed local and participated in an outdoor training, team building activity in the nearby Ben Shemen forest area. The teens had to work together to achieve the requested goals. Afterwards, we met up with Montreal squad at a special sheep herding activity. All the teams went to herd sheep and were able to see firsthand what our ancestors did. This activity, different then many others, provided the opportunity for the teens to take initiative and be creative to lead a flock of sheep.
We continued up north to our lodging in Kibbutz Tirat Zvi where we ate, had a small program led by Aviad Cohen, our tour guide, and had a bus orientation.
The teens are in great spirits and we are looking forward to an amazing trip together.
