Dear NCSY SUMMER TJJ BUS 10 Parents,
Sunday was a fabulous day marking our first real hike and experiencing Israel in a tangible way.
We began with a water hike through the Chatzbani river while hearing the history of the Golan Heights and the famous Israeli spy, Eli Cohen. Aviad our tour guide described the dedication of Cohen to his people in a way that captured the attention of the kids.
From there we went rafting on the Chatzbani and then Jordan Rivers. It was a splashing success!!!
Dinner we had in our new location, Poriah, and then we opened up our summer chaburot where the teens have the opportunity as they are paired with advisors speak about disgust various topics in Judaism. The teams were well receptive all of the sessions.
Looking forward to another amazing day tomorrow in the holy city of Safed!
