Dear NCSY SUMMER TJJ BUS 10 Parents,
As we all got back together Sunday morning, I was wonderful to hear from the teens how much they missed each other and looked forward to being with our TJJ family.
We began the day at Independence Hall in Tel Aviv. Learning what happened in 1948 in the room it happened was very powerful. From there we headed to the Deaf Museum in Holon. On the way, we celebrated the birthday of Alex Goldman, with a round of chocolate milk bags for the bus.
Later in the afternoon we headed to the Bedouin tents in the desert where we were able to hear from Rabbi Israel Lashak, a well-known speaker in NCSY and who has run hundreds of programs to Israel for Collegiate and high schoolers. He spoke about constellations in Judaism, right before the group went out for stargazing activity.
What a wonderful and powerful way to start again together.
