Dear NCSY SUMMER TJJ BUS 10 Parents,
Wednesday brought the teens some major ideas over coffees and hot chocolate and a visit bringing the teens back to the time of the Bible.
We started our day at Aroma where we had a Latte and Learn. Throughout the year NCSY runs many programs including one that invites teens from all over for a free drink at a cafe while engaging the teens in conversation on a variety of topics. At Aroma we spoke about the building blocks of interpersonal relationships and a relationship with our Creator.
We continued onward to Kfar Kedem, where we dressed up like biblical times and enjoyed grinding wheat to make flour, making pita bread and enjoyed a delicious meal. We then had the opportunity to ride donkeys to have a feel for how people in the past traveled.
Continuing in our history, we went to the ancient city of Tzipori, the home of Rabbi Judah the Prince, author of the Mishna. We learned about the oral tradition and even had a game that showed the unbroken chain from Moses to TJJ Bus 10 of Summer 2018!!!
We ended the day visiting the home of Mr. and Mrs. Yosef Stechler, friend and supporter of NCSY, in Zichron Yaakov for a BBQ and an inspiring story.
