Dear NCSY SUMMER TJJ BUS 10 Parents,
Tuesday brought the first real physical challenge to the teens. We woke up quite early to begin a long and difficult hike in the Zevitan Wadi. The teens managed and pushed through enjoying the hike and pool in the middle of it. After the completion of the hike they felt such a sense of accomplishment. They deserved our next stop at the De Karina chocolate boutique. We learned about the history of chocolate and had a cnahchto make our own chocolate bars. YUM!
While in the Golan Heights we had the chance to hear stories of the great heroes of the IDF from Mount Bental overlooking the Syrian part of the Golan.
We learned to appreciate all of the heroes of Israel, who have put their country before themselves; any person who served for our country!
We ended the night with a wonderful discussion and then a fun activity with toothpaste. It was lots of fun!
