Dear NCSY TJJ BUS 10 Family,
Wow! What a week! After seeing the beautiful views of the North, we finally began exploring the South. We saw the magnificent area of Ein Ovdat, where water and desert converge. We learned about Ben Gurion, and we felt our gratitude for him for the South being in Israeli possession in the first place.
We then strapped our seat belts and headed down to Eilat! After exploring the boardwalk, we broke the news to the NCSYers that we were waking up at 4 AM the next morning!
Let me tell you… It was worth it. We began our hike by the light of the moon and stars, and ended with the light of the sun. From the highest peak, we could see four countries and the Red Sea, where the Jews entered the waters and God split the sea.
With an incredible finish to our hike, we headed straight to water sports! From banana boating to tubing to snorkeling, we truly packed in a wild day. We toned it down at the end with some learning and mall time, and returned to the hotel ready for another jam packed day!
Today, we drove back to Jerusalem, but made sure to stop at the beautiful and super salty Dead Sea! After lounging on the sand and in the water, we made it to our final hotel for the summer, and quickly prepared for Yom NCSY!
Over one thousand people gathered together for an all inclusive night, featuring videos, food, a concert, inspiring speeches and a lot a lot a lot of dancing!
Now that it’s nearly Friday, we are ready and excited for our day in Chevron and then a beautiful last Shabbat in Jerusalem!
Shabbat shalom,
Zahava and Rav Dani
