Dear NCSY TJJ Bus 10 Family,
Hello from the Negev!
The gang is back together from our free weekend and we’re back on the move! We went to the Bedouin tents last night and enjoyed a delicious Bedouin style dinner followed by an amazing night session. We spoke about what it means for the Jewish people to be compared to the sand beneath our feet and the stars in the sky (which are much more visible in the desert of southern Israel), and reflected on what it means to be part of the greater community that clumps together while at the same time making sure that each individual shines.
After our reflections in the desert, we camp back to our tents and had an inspiring bonfire with bus 9 and 10 together, singing until the late hours of the night.
Today, we got the unbelievable chance to see an Israeli army base from the inside, and we even got to see firsthand a city that the army created for their urban training programs.
There’s more to come, but that’s all for now!
Best,
Rav Dani and Zahava Bauer
